Visma Makes Offer for Brazilian Fintech Conta Azul: Valor

Norwegian software company Visma made an offer to acquire Brazilian fintech Conta Azul for between 1.5 billion reais and 2 billion reais, local newspaper Valor Economico reported citing anonymous sources.

• Deal is undergoing due diligence, a source told Valor
• Visma also approached other local players, such as Omie, according to the report
• Conta Azul denied to Valor that it is in talks to be sold to Visma while the Norwegian firm said it maintains ongoing dialogue with various market players
• Bank of America was hired as financial adviser of the deal, Valor said
