Virus-Driven Layoffs Could Soon Require Notice

The coronavirus pandemic is forcing retailers and restaurants to close their doors, airlines to dramatically reduce capacity, and grocery stores to offer fewer operating hours and increase delivery options. Business who have either been forced to let go of workers or are considering it should take heed of federal and state laws that require a 60-day notice to employees before a mass layoff.
