Venezuela’s Paraguana Refinery Center shut down Thursday because of a power outage, according to a person familiar with the matter.
- Units in the Cardon and Amuay refineries stopped processing crude after the outage hit at around 7 am local time
- State-owned co. Petróleos de Venezuela SA did not reply to a request for comment
- The center has capacity to refine about 955,000 barrels per day
