USA Gymnastics Fights Nassar Victims’ Olympic Committee Pursuit

USA Gymnastics said its bankruptcy stay protections should remain in force against four former gymnasts pursuing sexual abuse claims against the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

Allowing victims of convicted child sexual predator Larry Nassar to continue their pursuit of litigation against the USOPC at this time will disrupt USAG’s Chapter 11 proceedings and ongoing efforts to negotiate a settlement with abuse survivors, the organization said in a Monday court filing.

The four individual plaintiffs are advancing claims against the USOPC shared by more than 500 other victims involved in the bankruptcy and which could belong to the USAG estate,...
