The US Office of Personnel Management intervened in a push by the fired head of the Justice Department’s bankruptcy watchdog to be reinstated, signaling the merits of her appeal are important to the powerful agency at the center of mass federal terminations.
The intervention comes as the DOJ seeks to consolidate Tara Twomey’s appeal to the US Merit Systems Protection Board with that of several other fired Justice Department program heads who are seeking reinstatement, according to documents obtained by Bloomberg Law through a records request.
