US Corporate Bankruptcies Set to Reach 14-Year High, S&P Says

An increase in US corporate bankruptcy filings in November could push the total for 2024 to a 14-year high, according to a Monday note from S&P Global Ratings.

  • 69 firms filed for bankruptcy in November, the second-most in one month since 2021, Nick Lazzaro and Umer Khan write
