US Bankruptcy Tracker: Two Big Bankruptcies Filed Last Week

US courts had two large bankruptcy filings last week, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

• Global Wound Care Medical Group and American Tire Distributors each had at least $50 million of liabilities, according to their filings
• US courts have received 143 large bankruptcy filings this year as of Oct. 26, compared with 181 during the same period last year and 75 in 2022, according to data compiled by Bloomberg
• The amount of bonds and loans issued by US companies in the Bloomberg News distressed debt tracker increased 0.8% last week to $156.1 billion
