US Bankruptcy Tracker: Distressed Debt Shrinks, Three Big Filers

US bankruptcy courts recorded three major filings last week, while the pile of distressed debt shrank by $13.5 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

  • Last week’s large filings — those with at least $50 million of liabilities — include those of co-working giant WeWork Inc. and balloon manufacturer Anagram Holdings
  • Meanwhile, $259 billion of dollar-denominated corporate bonds and loans in the Americas traded at distressed levels in the week ended Friday, a 4.95% decrease from $272.5 billion a week earlier, Bloomberg-compiled data shows
