US BANKRUPTCY TRACKER: Brazilian Airline Azul Among Big Filings

Brazilian airline Azul was one of at least four big bankruptcies that were filed in the US last week, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

  • The other companies involved Boundless Broadband, home-health services provider Intrepid USA and fiber-optics firm Everstream Solutions
    • They all filed with at least $50 million of liabilities
  • US courts received 78 large bankruptcy filings this year through Saturday versus 73 at that point in 2024 and 95 in 2023
  • The amount of bonds and loans issued by US companies in the Bloomberg News distressed debt tracker increased 2.2% last week to $174.7 billion
