United Western Bancorp Inc. and two of its subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 protection March 2 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado (In re United Western Bancorp Inc., Bankr. D. Colo., No. 12-13815).
The company’s remaining subsidiaries will continue to operate in the ordinary course of business and none of them have any material business operations, assets, or liabilities, according to a statement released by the company on March 5.
