U.S. Trustee Moves to Appeal Purdue Pharma Settlement Approval

The Justice Department’s bankruptcy watchdog will appeal a judge’s recent approval of Purdue Pharma LP’s plan to settle a mountain of legal claims related to its role in the opioid crisis.

  • The U.S. Trustee filed a notice of appeal on Wednesday night, joining attorneys general from Washington, Maryland and the District of Columbia in challenging U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert Drain’s recent ruling
