Trump Picks Ex-Puerto Rico Bondholder Rep for Oversight Board

President Donald Trump plans to appoint Justin Peterson to Puerto Rico’s financial oversight board, giving a managing partner of a firm that represented the island’s bondholders a role in overseeing the government’s path out of bankruptcy.

Peterson works at the public relations and lobbying firm DCI Group, which worked on behalf of Puerto Rico bondholders as Congress was cobbling together the law that installed the oversight board and gave the island the ability to go bankrupt.
