Trump Appoints Another Member to Puerto Rico’s Oversight Board

President Donald Trump appointed Antonio Medina, former head of Puerto Rico’s Industrial Development Co., to the island’s financial oversight board.

  • Medina served from 2012 to 2016 as executive director of PRIDCO, which oversees government-owned industrial properties throughout the island. He’s currently president and founder of Convergent Strategies, a business consulting firm based in Puerto Rico
  • Medina is an island resident, which would fulfill the requirement that at least one board member live in Puerto Rico full time
  • Trump last week appointed two members to the board and re-appointed a current member.
