Tim Blixseth Jailed Again for Civil Contempt Over $13.8M in Missing Money

Timothy Blixseth, the former owner of the bankrupt Yellowstone Mountain Club LLC, is back in jail, again for civil contempt and again for failing to explain what he did with $13.8 million from a property in Mexico he sold in violation of a court injunction (Glasser v. Blixseth (In re Yellowstone Mountain Club LLC), D. Mont., 13-00068, contempt order 4/20/15).

U.S. District Judge Sam E. Haddon in Butte, Mont., handed down a 27-page opinion at the conclusion of an April 20 hearing citing “glaring and egregious examples” of Blixseth’s continuing failure to show where the money went. ...
