Syracuse Diocese Insurer Held in Contempt in Sex Abuse Data Leak

Two subsidiaries of insurance giant Allianz SE were held in contempt for leaking nearly 100 Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse sex abuse claimants’ personal information nearly four years ago.

Interstate Fire & Casualty Co. and Allianz Reinsurance America Inc. said the inadvertent disclosure was resolved almost immediately after it was discovered.
