Swedish landlord Oscar Properties Holding AB has been declared bankrupt, marking the end of a years-long struggle to reinvent itself after the market for its luxury apartments nosedived in the previous decade.

The company, named after founder Oscar Engelbert, was declared bankrupt in a decision taken on Thursday afternoon, based on a petition from the Swedish tax agency, a clerk for the Stockholm District Court said by phone.
