A U.S. Navy veteran again is potentially on the hook for $221,000 worth of student loan debt after a federal district court judge overturned a New York bankruptcy court’s ruling that he could eliminate the debt in bankruptcy.
Kevin J. Rosenberg didn’t have enough evidence that repaying the debt causes him “undue hardship,” Judge Philip M. Halpern of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled.
