Stonepeak Is Said in Talks for ADIA’s €2 Billion Stake in IFCO

Stonepeak Partners is in exclusive talks to acquire a stake in plastic container business IFCO from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for about €2 billion ($2.3 billion), according to people familiar with the matter.

The US infrastructure investor is in advanced negotiations to buy a 50% stake in IFCO from the sovereign wealth fund after beating out other suitors, said the people, who asked not to be identified as the information is private. A deal could value the packaging firm at around €5.5 billion including debt, the people said.
