A trustee for the fallen Steward Health Care System LLC sued Aetna Health Care Inc. to recover more than $6 million it says it’s owed for health care provided to patients.
The health insurance giant should be ordered to turn over reimbursements that were wrongfully denied or reduced to nine Massachusetts-based hospitals and have its slow-moving arbitration transferred to federal court, trustee Mark Kronfeld said in a March 27 complaint in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
