South Park Creators to Buy Denver’s Casa Bonita Out of Bankruptcy

Casa Bonita, a bankrupt Denver restaurant featured in the animated show South Park, will receive a financial lifeline from the show’s creators.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have agreed to buy the theme restaurant and family entertainment center for a price that would pay all undisputed debts in full, according to owner Summit Family Restaurants Inc.

Summit didn’t disclose the purchase price in its filing Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. But the company said it intends to file an amended plan after it asks the bankruptcy court to approve the sale.
