The trustee liquidating Sorrento Therapeutics Inc. will have potential pre-bankruptcy payment litigation against B. Riley Commercial Capital LLC mediated by Judge Marvin Isgur.
Judge Christopher Lopez of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on Tuesday approved a joint request to have his fellow Houston jurist serve as pre-suit mediator in Sorrento’s Chapter 11 case. The claims, held by a liquidating trust following bankruptcy plan approval in late 2023, concern alleged transfers between Sorrento and B. Riley in the months immediately preceding the drugmaker’s bankruptcy case.
