The bankruptcy trustee liquidating Sears Hometown Stores Inc. sued corporate entities tied to investor and former Sears CEO Eddie Lampert, seeking at least $177 million for controlling the retailer as it collapsed.
Sears Hometown trustee Jeoffrey L. Burtch filed his complaint Wednesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware against ESL Investments Inc., Transform Holdco LLC and several other related entities that own and operate what’s left of the Sears business.
