Satellite TV Provider Orby Files For Bankruptcy After Closing

Orby TV filed for Chapter 11 protection on Sunday in California, listing liabilities of as much as $100 million in its bankruptcy petition.

• The prepaid satellite television service launched in 2019 as a competitor to DirecTV and Dish Network
• “We are sorry to announce that Orby TV has closed its doors, and the Orby TV service has ended,” the company said in a notice posted on its website
