Riviera Holdings Corp.'s Reorganization Plan Effective; Company Emerges from Ch. 11

Riviera Holdings Corp.'s second amended joint reorganization plan became effective Dec 1., according to court documents.

Riviera Holdings Corp. and two affiliated entities, Riviera Black Hawk Inc. and Riviera Operating Corporation, filed for Chapter 11 protection July 12 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada (22 BBLR 983, 7/22/10).

Judge Linda B. Riegle entered the order confirming the Second Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization on Nov. 17.
