Revlon Can Avoid Talc Lawsuits Through Bankruptcy, Judge Rules

Cosmetics giant Revlon can avoid lawsuits by a group of people suing the company for allegedly making them sick with asbestos-contaminated talc products, a bankruptcy judge ruled.

Revlon’s bankruptcy plan bars 42 lawsuits from by victims who say they suffered asbestos-related injuries from products that the beauty company sold, Judge David S. Jones of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York ruled on Monday.
