Hellman & Friedman-backed At Home Group Inc. posted a severe drop in first-quarter earnings as the retailer grappled with merchandising issues in the home furnishing category, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

  • The home decor company reported $399 million of revenue in the latest quarter, down about 21% year-over—year from $505 million, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the results are private
