Clothing seller A’GACI LLC filed its second bankruptcy in less than two years, citing a “retail apocalypse” that necessitated liquidating all stores.
A bankruptcy reorganization last year couldn’t revive its operations, A’GACI’s lawyer Eric Terry told a Texas bankruptcy judge at a hearing Aug. 8, a day after it filed Chapter 11. Two hurricanes that devastated Puerto Rico in 2017 forced the company to shut down its two most profitable stores, Terry said.
