Repsol Sells to Stonepeak 46% of US portfolio for $340 Million

Repsol has agreed to sell to Stonepeak 46% of a US renewable energy portfolio for $340 million, according to a regulatory filing.

  • Portfolio has 777 MW capacity of solar and battery energy storage, located in New Mexico and Texas
  • Deal values the entire portfolio at $735 million
  • Repsol previously raised ~$60 million in tax equity proceeds for this portfolio
    • Total value amounts to ~$795 million
  • Portfolio includes the Frye solar project and the Jicarilla solar and storage complex
    • Frye is Repsol’s largest photovoltaic plant in operation, has an installed capacity of 632 MW
