Renovate America’s Benji Sale Gets Court Approval (Correct)

Finance of America Mortgage LLC won bankruptcy court approval to acquire Renovate America Inc.'s home improvement financing business for $5.35 million, $350,000 above its initial offer.

In exchange for the increased purchase price, the committee of unsecured creditors agreed that the mortgage servicer could acquire certain claims that otherwise would be owned by the bankruptcy estate, Finance of America’s attorney, Peter S. Partee Sr. of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, said Tuesday.

The modified terms resolved all objections to the deal, he said in an email to Bloomberg Law.
