The former CEO and board members of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Inc., owner of Redbox Entertainment Inc., mismanaged and pillaged the now defunct media company, a bankruptcy trustee alleged.
Company insiders, particularly former CEO William Rouhana, bled the company dry for years through excessive shareholder payments, reckless accumulation of debt, misguided business ventures, and failure to pay employee wages and benefits, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
