Real Estate Financing Pioneer Peer Street Files for Bankruptcy

Peer Street Inc., a company that made investing in real estate debt more accessible, filed for bankruptcy on Monday after market volatility caused its business to falter.

The El Segundo, California-based company listed both assets and liabilities of as much as $100 million in a bankruptcy petition filed in Delaware. The Chapter 11 filing allows Peer Street to keep operating while it seeks approval of a plan to repay creditors.
