Rapper 50 Cent Asks Bankruptcy Court to Seal Abuse Allegations

50 Cent urged a federal judge to seal a recent $20 million New York state court suit alleging abuse, saying the claims were subject to a discharge in his decade-old bankruptcy.

Lawyers representing the rapper, whose given name is Curtis Jackson, said the plaintiff knew he received a discharge as part of his bankruptcy but that she has continued to sue him in New York state court. The statements came in a Tuesday filing in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.
