Puerto Rico Official Hopeful on LNG Deal, El Nuevo Dia Says (1)

A contentious contract for New Fortress Energy Inc. to supply liquefied natural gas to Puerto Rico is still “alive” despite the end of recent talks between the two sides, the island’s energy czar told El Nuevo Dia.

Negotiations to renew the 15-year LNG supply deal, estimated to be worth $20 billion, hit an “impasse,” Josue Colon told the newspaper, but he suggested it could be salvaged.
