Public Media Works Inc. filed for Chapter 11 protection Sept. 23 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California (In re Public Media Works Inc., Bankr. C.D. Cal., Case 6:11-bk-40137-MJ).
The Sausalito, Calif.-based company “is engaged in the business of offering self-service kiosks which deliver DVD movies to consumers,” according to court documents.
Reasons for Filing.
Martin W. Greenwald, Public Media Works’ CEO, cited the company’s “inability to identify new sources of liquidity necessary to redeploy and market its kiosks” as the primary reason for its Chapter 11 filing, according to a company press ...
