Prysmian Weighs Investment in Nexans Industry Unit, CEO Says

Italy’s Prysmian SpA is looking to potentially invest in rival Nexans SA’s industry unit, Massimo Battaini, Chief Executive Officer of the Italian cables manufacturer, said.

“We share a completely different footprint in terms of geographies and product range,” Battaini said during a a press conference following Prysmian’s nine-month results. “As far as the industrial business of Nexans is concerned, we’ll look at the case, we don’t know whether it would make sense for us,” Battaini said, adding that a decision will be made “in the coming months.”
