Prison Phone Firm ViaPath’s Revenue Rose 0.5% in April

ViaPath Technologies, a prison phone and tablet company, reported April results that included a 0.5% increase in gross revenue to $67.4m, according to a lender presentation reviewed by Bloomberg.

  • The American Securities-backed company, formerly known as Global Tel*Link had a 12% increase in tablet/media revenue to $36.5m while phone revenue dropped 12% to $26.1m
    • Together, they contributed 93% of the month’s gross revenue
    • The remainder came from two categories: payments and other
  • April’s revenue growth slowed from 1Q’s 4.3% increase to $205.7m
