Pfizer Inc. rebuked Barretts Minerals Inc. over claims that its alleged failure to meet indemnification obligations triggered the bankrupt talc supplier’s Chapter 11 case.
The pharmaceutical giant rejected the argument that the bankruptcy cases “are necessary to resolve Pfizer’s indemnification obligations,” related to talc injury claims, according to a statement filed Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
