Petrobras Asks to Take Part in Review of Possible Braskem Sale

Petrobras has asked Brazil’s antitrust regulator Cade to be included, as an interested third party, in the analysis of the possible sale of Braskem to Nelson Tanure, Petrobras said in a filing.

• Petrobras cites Braskem’s shareholder agreement, which gives the Brazilian state-owned company preference and tag-along rights in case Novonor sells its Braskem shares
• Company is still waiting for Cade’s response to its request
• No decision has been made regarding Braskem stake, Petrobras says
