Paul Hastings Settles With J&J Unit in Bankruptcy Fee Dispute

Paul Hastings LLP reached a confidential settlement with Johnson & Johnson’s talc liability unit over millions of dollars in fees related to the subsidiary’s failed bankruptcy attempt.

The law firm, which served as co-counsel to a committee of talc claimants for Red River Talc LLC, will withdraw its application to be employed and its request for compensation for its work in the case, according to a Tuesday status report in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Paul Hastings and Red River Talc agreed to not disclose the specifics of their settlement to anyone else.
