Parler, the social media app once banned by Apple and Google, is looking to expand its platform by purchasing certain hardware and software assets from bankrupt Edgio Inc.
Parler has agreed to buy equipment and software related to Edgio’s Edgecast content delivery network, as well as a one-year license on certain IP address blocks for $5 million, according to a filing Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The sale provides Parler the option to purchase the IP address assets outright for an additional $2.5 million.
