Panama Will Have News ‘Soon’ on Fate of Stockpiled Copper

Panamanian authorities are looking into the legal aspects of shipping out stockpiled copper concentrate produced at a shuttered mine operated by First Quantum.

  • Speaking to reporters in Panama City Thursday, Industry and Commerce Minister Julio Molto said the government would have news on the matter soon
  • “It has to be soon because it deteriorates over time. It can create an environmental issue,” Molto said
