Panama Says 33,000 Tons of Copper Concentrate From Mine Shipped

Panama’s government said more than 33,000 tons of stockpiled copper concentrate from the Cobre Panama mine have been shipped, according to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

  • The shipment of the concentrate is gradual and depends on technical, logistical and weather factors, the ministry said
  • Plan for the shipment of concentrate is supervised by the Environmental Ministry, Panama’s Maritime Authority, the National Customs Authority and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, according to the statement
