U.K. Is Joining the $200 Billion Flood of Green Bond Sales

The U.K is planning to test investor appetite for its first green bond in the coming months, adding to record sales of environmentally-friendly debt that have already broken above $200 billion this year.

The country’s Treasury will publish the government’s green financing framework on June 30 and the Debt Management Office will launch the green gilt issue as part of a new program it will roll out in September, the DMO said on its website.
