O’Melveny Corporate Finance Chair Sung Pak Jumps to Paul Weiss

O’Melveny & Myers partner and corporate finance group chair Sung Pak is joining Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Pak will lead the special situations group at Paul Weiss, said the people, who asked not to be named because the matter is private.

Pak had been with O’Melveny for nearly 17 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He handled leveraged finance transactions with a focus on acquisition financing for companies and private equity sponsors, and restructurings and investments for distressed companies, according to the company’s website.
