Oi Board Appoints Mateus Affonso Bandeira as CEO

Oi’s Board of Directors appointed Mateus Affonso Bandeira as the company’s CEO, according to a filing late Thursday.

• Oi decided that it won’t renew Rodrigo Modesto de Abreu as the company’s CEO after the end of his two year period in the position in January
• Mateus Affonso Bandeira will continue the company’s transformation process, including finalizing the necessary agreements for submission of the judicial recovery plan, to be presented at Oi’s general meeting of creditors
• Mateus Affonso Bandeira will also support the selection of a new CEO to execute the recovery plan in the long term
