Chubb Ltd. lost its bid to deny insurance to the Archdiocese of New York amid more than 3,000 lawsuits stemming from allegations of child sexual abuse, a New York court ruled.
A June lawsuit brought by Chubb subsidiaries against the New York Archdiocese over the extent of their coverage obligations related to the New York Child Victims Act was dismissed Friday by Judge Suzanne J. Adams of the New York State Supreme Court.
