NRG Energy to Build Texas Plant with 721 MW, Governor Says

NRG Energy will build a 721 MW natural gas power plant near Baytown, Texas, the governor says in a statement.

• Plant is estimated to begin generating power by summer 2028
• This is the third Texas Energy Fund loan agreement
