Niche Publisher F+W Media Goes Bankrupt With Plans to Sell

F+W Media Inc.,a publisher of magazines and books aimed at enthusiasts of arts, crafts, writing, hobbies and collectibles, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection March 10 to provide time to sell off its assets.

F+W boasts a number of print and digital products, originally targeting hobbyists when it founded about 100 years ago, the company said in a court filing. In 2018, the company published more than 50 titles with a circulation of over 13 million people, and internet page views in excess of 17 million per month, it said.
