NFE Bonds Surge Most Since Issuance on Puerto Rico LNG Contract

Bonds of New Fortress Energy surged following a late Monday report from local outlet El Nuevo Dia quoting the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico, which confirmed that the company signed a contract to provide liquified natural gas to the island for seven years.

  • The company’s 12% notes due in 2029 jumped five cents on the dollar on Tuesday, the most since issuance in December, to 25 cents on the dollar, according to TRACE
