U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn will take over as the next chief judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, starting his five-year term in March in one of the most sought-after bankruptcy venues.
Glenn currently serves on the bench in the district’s Manhattan courthouse and has been a bankruptcy court judge in the district since Nov. 30, 2006, according to the court’s announcement Monday.
Current Chief Judge Cecelia G. Morris, who served two five-year terms as chief judge, will continue on as a bankruptcy judge in the district’s Poughkeepsie courthouse, the court said.
